So i’ve been talking about this from time to time and I hate to do this…
My parents are divorcing soon and my mom wants to go to korea to spend time with her own mom.
My dad at first thought that his parents could pay for it (since we can barely afford to go on vacation) but my grandparents refused.
I’ve looked into getting a job recently but it’s kinda hard to find a job when you don’t have a social security number. I don’t have a social security number because i wasnt born here. I moved to america from korea when i was 5. I’ve applied for a social security number when i was 16, recently got my photo taken for the ID but I don’t expect to get it soon because of the delay. (Please don’t ask me about this, i don’t know the details since my dad said that he’ll “take care of it”)
Most jobs require a ssn. The ones i applied to were run by korean ppl who could pay in cash but i didn’t get the job for the only one i got a call back for.
With the money i was planning to try and save up for my mom to go to korea. But i don’t even have the job.
I’ve sold 80% of all the clothes i own to help pay for my everyday funds, so i don’t have much to offer.
Im currently a student working on my art portfolio and i’m struggling in school. So you can imagine that i’m kinda stressed out.
It would be extremely nice if anyone can help me raise the money. Meanwhile i’m trying to look into being a tutor for algebra or just babysitting, so im not 100% reliant on donations.
If you yourself are financially struggling don’t worry about me! But if u can donate even a dollar it would help.
I’m not saying you have to donate, and i’m gonna try to not be annoying about reblogging this post, but to make a post like this means that I’m desperate… I hate taking from others but i’m so desperate.
