If anythIng you should make sure that your kid is just beIng safe (STD tests, Condoms, boundaries, and so on), and it’s a healthy relationship. make sure that your kid and their partner know each others bodies, and boundaries. To me safety and happiness, and being able to enjoy what you want is the most important thing. So to all you people who say they won’t date an underage lIttle. kItten, pup, dom, and so on, why don’t you just give them a chance. And parents and adults, why don’t you just trust your chIld a little bit, and trust that they know themselves and what’s safe and not safe. Lastly, to subs and doms of all ages, do what you makes you happy don’t let some else tell you what you can and can’t do. you know yourself best, so don’t be afraId to wear your ears and tails and pacifiers and so on, because BDSM and love is a lifestyle, and it’s a part you, and you shouldn’t feel the need to hide it, or let someone else tell you what you have to do. 18 is the legal age of consent.
If you are a minor or not an adult, you cannot consent.
You may feel mature for your age, but you’re still a kid. You are a minor. Do not partake in BDSM if you still need parents permission to do most things in your life.
Research all you want, but you’re still a minor.

Also a big reason is that, if you’re under 18, people can get in trouble for talking to you about explicit kink topics? I don’t know where OP lives, but corrupting a minor is still a thing people can get charged with and can seriously fuck up their lives. If you expect people over 18 to be talking to you about BDSM and stuff, you’re actually putting them in a tough spot legally.

(Also, I knew who I was when I was 16. I knew my boundaries. And then I got older and realized I didn’t know shit. If I had been being a Dom when I was that old? I would have run a high risk of making major mistakes and fucking up something fierce.)
