The first transgender suicide hotline in the US
For the first time, there is a hotline in the US that is staffed entirely by transgender people, to serve transgender people. Everyone in the trans community needs to be spreading this around. Lives could be saved.

Eylül Cansin is a transgender woman from Turkey, age 24, who committed suicide yesterday, Jan. 5th. She left a suicide note in the form of a video where she tells about all the things she couldn’t do because of who she is and how people treated her.
I’ve seen so many beautiful drawings of Leelah, I think we should make it a tradition to drawn every trans girl who commits suicide, both to remember them and show that we care and and to show just how many victims there are of transphobia and and trans misogyny.
I’ll be drawing every trans female suicide victim i hear of from now on.

More then 3 million people in France were marching for ‘freedom’ today…if I think about the relation between ‘freedom’ and France today I think about the 14 African countries that are obliged by France, trough a colonial pact, to put 85% of their foreign reserve into France central bank under French minister of Finance control still now..Oh let’s march another march, insult prophet Muhammad once again and produce another sad video spot because we care so much about the people in Africa! Oh really a few thousand people were murdered in Nigeria the other day? And in Gaza, Syria and other places this is happening every day?! Too bad but you know what, 17 white people died in France!!! What a limitation of our ‘freedom’!

At 17, I was a depressed teenager who self harmed and wondered about just how painful it could possibly be to end my life.
Right now, I’m laying on the couch, and I can hear my husband reading our four year old a bedtime story using silly voices.
Life gets better. Make sure you’re there to see it.

Transexual/Transgender (Term depending on generation and location): An individual who identifies as a gender other than the one they were assigned at birth to be. Often shortened to trans
Cisgender: Someone who identifies as the gender that they were assigned as at birth. (ex. matches their birth certificate) Often shortened to cis
Intersex: Someone who has ambiguous genitalia that doesn't fit into our strict dichotomy of uterus or testes. Often forced into surgery to correct their genitals at a very young age, causing psychological and physical harm later in life
Nonbinary: Outside of the gender binary of male and female. (Can be used as an umbrella term or as its own identity)
Genderqueer: Outside of the gender binary. (**This is not an umbrella term like the post said before I edited it! Do not use this as an umbrella term for nonbinary individuals, simply use 'nonbinary'. Queer is considered a slur and not everyone likes to be associated with the word)
Agender: Someone who feels gender neutral, or someone who experiences a 'lack' of gender.
Bigender: Someone who identifies as two separate genders.
Trigender: Someone who identifies as three separate genders.
Genderfluid: A gender that changes, or is 'fluid'.
Demigirl: Identifying partially as a woman, but not wholly.
Demiboy/guy: Identifying partially as a man, but not wholly.
Dmab: Designated Male at Birth.
Dfab: Designated Female at Birth.
Amab/Afab: Same as dmab/dmab, except with 'assigned' instead of 'designated'.
Camab/Cafab: Same as previous, except prefixed by 'coercively', to highlight the lack of choice.
