November 20th, 2014. WE’RE ALL AYOTZNIPA.
This is my country and we’ve had enough.
This began as a movement to demand justice and answers in the case of 43 students who were kidnapped and killed by a drug cartel at the behest of corrupt politicians. Drug cartel violence is nothing new to Mexico, but the students’ kidnapping struck a nerve and quickly became a national story, prompting protests around the country that have grown for more than a month. That’s not just because the kidnapping was so terrible but because the attack encapsulated many Mexicans’ worst fears and frustrations about where their country is headed.
Protests in the state of Guerrero already forced its governor to resign over his response to the students’ disappearance. In recent days, protesters have been calling for the resignation of Mexico’s president, Enrique Peña Nieto.
They try to shut us down, but we won’t shut up!
#SupportMexicoPlease reblog, we want to be heard.
Je ne pense pas que tu comprends.
Je ne regrette rien.
My dear friend is protesting in Mexico City and has told me to let people know of this. He relayed this message to me “We are coordinating the info with all the cities that are protesting today because there’s literally zero coverage in the news, if something happens, people will be left on their own.”
Please help spread the word.

is it your own skin though? As in you grew it, on your own body, from birth?
This skin was grown yes. On a human body. That is mine. I’m not a robot
Ok ok I’ll believe you… If you first tell me what this says:
I don’t need to prove myself to you how dare you, I love breathing oxygen
I didn’t see this on my dash at all yesterday or the day before, which made me sad, so I’m posting about it now.
That handsome young man right there? That’s Kwasi Enin, a high school student who was accepted to all eight Ivy League schools. Not one or two, but ALL OF THEM.
The 17-year-old violist and aspiring physician applied to all eight [Ivy League schools], from Brown to Yale.
The responses began rolling in over the past few months, and by late last week when he opened an e-mail from Harvard, he found he’d been accepted to every one. School district officials provided scanned copies of acceptance letters from all eight Monday. Yale confirmed that it was holding a spot for Enin. (x)
Kwasi is 11th in a class of 647 at William Floyd in New York, meaning he’s in the top 2% of his class. He scored 2,250 out of 2,400 points on the SAT. And by the time this kid graduates, he’ll have taken 11 AP courses. He’s also a musician who sings in his school’s a capella group and volunteers in his local hospital’s radiation department.
I just wanted to highlight this kid and his amazing achievements. He’s the kind of future our world needs.

Art dump part 4
okay story time
so my art teacher assigned us to do a chalk pastel still life of fruits n shit and I was like “no”
so I drew a banana instead.
and my teacher came by like “you need to have more than one fruit in your still life”
so I was like “k”
and so I put that cherry on top of the banana and titled it “Banana Split Without The Ice Cream Because Life Is Full Of Disappointments: By Fall Out Boy“ and I turned that shit in.
My art teacher just started laughing out loud in the middle of class
this is my new favorite thing
best title ever
HAPPENING NOW (11/20/14): Despite the below freezing temperatures, protesters gather outside of the Ferguson police department. Police are in full riot gear, and arrests are occurring. Even still, at Day 103, and the spirit of the movement is strong. #staywoke #farfromover (Part 1)
They arrested Bassem, who was livestreaming as usual, and a medic from Anonymous. The way to cops have targeted members of this movement is truly abhorrent. Be on the lookout for other arrests of notable protesters. They want to destabilize by removing “leaders.” No honor or justice among these thugs and bullies.
To follow developments live, check out Rebel_Z’s stream (before they arrest him too.)

the perfect cure to a bad day
Except drugs won’t solve your problems…
you’re right drugs won’t solve my problems. however, cannabis does. without this wonderful plant I would not be able to accomplish and overcome half the problems I have been confronted with. I understand that it is not for everyone but people really need to stop being so close minded to how much this plant is capable of doing.
