The fact that there’s some Americans who will automatically think badly or differently of people over a residential label makes me so mad. Why is it that when someone has ‘illegal’ before their immigrant status, they’re seen as awful people? There’s people that will judge someone badly because they weren’t born in the country they’re staying in, a country that’s been alive for less than 250 years. Mexico used to be half of the U.S., but if a Mexican immigrates here now, they’re demonized, even though there’s a high chance they had ancestors that have walked on this land themselves. This country is so damn backwards, I hate it.
