Sooo I was all excited to see Tim Burton’s new movie (“Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children”), and then THIS happened… 🙄
Now I feel dotish (Trini slang meaning “foolish/silly”) for not realising how bleached and pale white ALL his films were before and reading between the lines.
So now I gotta stuff him in the same category with Marc Jacob’s ignorant, racist ass smdh.
Why Tim, Whyyyyy?! 😩
Goddamnit Tim Burton
Is anyone really surprised though? When has Tim Burton ever seemed like the type to champion diversity?
Remember, this is the same Tim Burton whose films have always only had white central characters, who sets a lot of his films in either 18th-19th century
England or America (time periods where people take for granted that people of color weren’t present when they very much were) and has no characters of color in them. I can only think of maybe three or four films in his entire filmography up to this point where there were people of color in it that had a speaking part (and even then they’re usually limited).
Honestly, it was only a matter of time before he got the opportunity to talk out the side of his neck like the rest of these directors.

“And a black-”
Interesting that couple of days ago I saw an article about how Horton specifically made a role to work with Samuel L. Jackson…
I love his movies until this post I wasn’t even thinking about race….thier just good gothic styled movies that I enjoy their was no need to bring race into it….it doesn’t change the fact that those movies are still good….like….😒…..it understand what yall saying but…like….😐…..no….just imagine a black beetle juice….ewww…..it wouldn’t be the same…….it usually don’t speak about this alot….because sometimes yall are right but naww…it had to speak up on this one….😑😑😑
